Proof Of Vaccination:
Guests must be fully vaccinated (F3 as a minimum with vaccination certificate as proof showing most recent vaccination in the last 12 months and ideally not administered less than 2 weeks prior to stay) and in good health to stay at Noosa Country Cat Hotel.
If guests are showing any sign of illness they will not be permitted to stay.
A current vaccination certificate / copy of certificate is required at the time of making an online booking.
The vaccination certificate should show details of the vaccination administered, the date administered, your cats name, your own details, as well as the date the vaccination is due to be renewed again.
A Titer Test report from your vet showing high antibodies from within the last 12 months is also accepted.
Note: if your cat is up to date with their vaccination (or awaiting their vet appointment for it) but you don’t have a copy of their certificate yet, please contact us via email and we will assist with the booking.
We will still require a copy of the vaccination certificate to be shown prior to arrival.
Flea / Tick / parasite treatment:
All flea/tick treatments should be administered 1-2 weeks before guests arrive.
Please consult your Vet if you are unsure if your cat meets these requirements.
(If your cat is found to have ticks/fleas while staying with us, a cleaning/elimination fee will apply and we will request early departure of your cat).
We recommend and trust Bravecto Plus for cats, but suggest consult with your Vet for further guidance.
Food Safety & Handling:
To ensure the highest standards of food safety, we can only serve commercially prepared raw pet food that is clearly labelled for pet consumption and manufactured in accordance with Australian Standard AS 5812.
Recognised as Australia’s benchmark for the manufacture and labelling of pet food, AS 5812 was developed by Standards Australia with input from industry stakeholders, including the Pet Food Industry Association of Australia (PFIAA).
Pet food manufactured in accordance with AS 5812 is produced under recognised food safety and quality management systems, with documented manufacturing processes, ingredient traceability and routine quality testing to help ensure safety, consistency and quality.
As a pet boarding establishment responsible for the safe handling, storage and preparation of pet food, we are unable to prepare or serve raw meat intended for human consumption. Any raw diet provided for your cat must be commercially manufactured, clearly labelled for pet consumption and compliant with Australian Standard AS 5812. Alternatively, raw meat must have undergone heat treatment (cooking) before being served.
This policy helps protect the health and wellbeing of all cats in our care while ensuring safe food handling practices and compliance with recognised Australian standards.
Use of a litter tray and kitty litter:
Cats who spray or are not familiar with using a litter tray / kitty litter will not be permitted entry to Noosa Country Cat Hotel. We are a small scale luxury hotel which is home based, we only accept domesticated cats who can maintain a level of domestic toileting habits for the health and hygiene of our guests, our home environment and ourselves.
Cats who stray / are allowed outside without supervision:
It is a requirement of Noosa Council that cat owners prevent their animals from straying.
Straying cats pose a significant risk to wildlife and are at risk of injury or death from vehicles, disease and other animals. We need to know if your cat is allowed to stray before they are booked to stay as they may pose significant threat to other guests staying at Noosa Country Cat Hotel and ourselves with undetected illness, injury, fleas and ticks. (Straying is considered as being allowed outside unattended for any length of time)
If you allow your cat to stray we ask that you keep your cat strictly inside/contained in a catio when outdoors/only on a lead+harness for outside time for 7 days (1 week) prior to their stay at Noosa Country Cat Hotel. This inside time is critical prior to arrival and is our best way of protecting other guests and ourselves from illness from straying cats. It is also required in the case your cat has sustained any injuries or been affected by fleas and ticks whilst straying. Whilst this sounds harsh, please understand we take the health and safety of our guests extremely seriously.
