About Amy

Noosa Country Cat Hotel was founded by Amy with one simple goal: to create a calm, personalised boarding experience where every cat is cared for as an individual.

Located just steps from her home in the beautiful Noosa Hinterland, the hotel allows Amy to provide genuine around-the-clock care, ensuring every guest receives attentive care and prompt assistance whenever needed.

Amy’s approach is grounded in evidence-based feline care, combining extensive hands-on experience with ongoing professional education in feline behaviour, welfare and husbandry. Before establishing Noosa Country Cat Hotel, Amy spent more than 14 years as a registered health professional, where meticulous attention to hygiene, infection control and compassionate care formed the foundation of her daily practice. Those same standards continue throughout every aspect of the hotel today.

Amy’s animal care experience extends far beyond domestic cats. She previously worked as a wildlife park ranger and keeper, caring for an extraordinary variety of Australian wildlife, and has held wildlife rehabilitation permits and qualifications across Queensland, New South Wales and the Northern Territory for macropods, flying foxes, birds and reptiles.

Over the years, Amy has also fostered countless cats and dogs through rescue organisations across South East Queensland and continues to care for a diverse collection of animals at home, including cats, dogs, alpacas, goats, cattle, ducks and chickens.

Away from the hotel, Amy is a wife to Owen (affectionately known as “The Cat Man” when he’s not serving as a full-time firefighter) and mum to daughters Victoria and Annabelle.

Above all, Amy believes every cat deserves to feel safe, secure and genuinely cared for. Whether a guest is staying for a single day or several weeks or months, every aspect of their stay is tailored to their individual personality, routine and wellbeing.
